Homemade Light Box

Slowly but surely pushing up my Ka-Ka-Kiya-Ki film to the finish. Last week I made this Light Box for long-planed re shooting of my pseudo 3D scene of Raised Snakes. I will be doing 360° rotation of bunches of clay maiden snakes inside of this Light Box.

Last time when I did it, the scene was purely lighten and as result all images had too much and too strong shadows + I couldn't get right depth of field and as result, more distant snakes comes up blurry.
Next time I'll tell here more detailed about this "pseudo 3D" technology wich I invented for some scenes of my film.

Comics: Resurrection at the supermarket

At first I wrote short script "Night at the store" and slept on it for some time. Then I planed to do animation based on that script, but situation around pushed me to pops up with this comics first. You may saw in an earliest posts here some of my storyboards based on "Night at the store" they are all done before this comics. One Toronto's small startup publisher commissioned me to do this comics by the end of August. As you can see, I did it, but not get published because publisher went bankrupt and couldn't keep promises. Too bad for him. How's it for me? Don't know, but still hope the day will come and all my works become needed.

Here one of my quickie drawn animation. In a total I've spend, maybe, 2 hrs doing this four's seconds flick. I used to think what I lost it in an one of computer crashes in a past couple years... But no! It was well hiden in a safety on my old Vaio desktop. So, vualya - "Chelovecek" (The Little Man)!

TAIS Showcase 011

This year TAIS showcase theme was everything & anything about Bunny. Actually I been pleasantly surprised by number of quality animations submitted this year. My favorite short of the Bunny Show has been done by Eurico da Costa Ng (#31). Second place in my personal rating belong to Nick Cross (#28). His animation just a little bit too dark, for my taste. I don't know, how jury and audience has distributed real prizes, because I left theatre right after the show.
Among the films which was screened out of competition come across an couple real gems too.Thats it.

Before show started I have had time to make a quick sketch of the screening room entrance.

Strange case in the supermarket timing

Timing for Strange Case In The Supermarket. Film will be 2 minutes and 35 seconds long. It is 3,720 frames, if I choose to shoot it at 24 frames per second. But, most likely I'll shoot it at 15 frames per second. At this speed it's gonna be "only" 2,325 frames.
