Free Music Archive: Violeta Päivänkakkara - Kuu
Violeta's songs remainder me my childhood. The times when light was bright, clock was slow and space endless and mysterious... Time when I was small.

I'm such a old fan of hers Adventures of Prince Achmed legendary movie of 1926. If you have not seen this film, just go and watch it.

My new one minute animation "Interconnection of Our Dreams"
Couple days ago passed a dead line for submitting an animation to Toronto Urban Film Festival.
As always, I submitted my film almost among the last. But this time submitting become some kind of delaying record for me. To be completely accurate, I brought my film on the day later the official deadline! Belive me, I had my perfectly legal reasons to do so because festival didn't have working submission mechanism for the last day which was Sunday. Office was close and even didn't have a drop box by the doors. I couldn't upload a 980 Mb file either... But, thanks to the reasonable and receptive staff of the TUFF, who respond to my urgent e-mail promptly with vital information about possibility to bring my film in by Monday morning. End of story. At the end of July TUFF will decide which films is selected for showing. As I just find it out, this year was submitted more then 400 films! People sent films from all around the word. Incredible!TUFF web site.

My entry to the first Russian Animabook festival in Suzdal.
Thanks to my friend Igor Golev for sharing with me information about this new flip book festival. Deadline was very close and I decide to enter with my award winning Born to be.... More over, the required timing perfectly coincided with the timing of my old film. I just cut down out titles, ending, transition screens music e.t.c., and got at the end required 75 frames of my new flip book version of Born to be.... You can see page of the festival, but only in a Russian language. For some, hidden from me, reason they didn't translated it to English. Or, maybe I'm kind of blind at the end of the day and just couldn't see it? Any way, here it is: Flipbook.

Homemade Light Box
Slowly but surely pushing up my Ka-Ka-Kiya-Ki film to the finish. Last week I made this Light Box for long-planed re shooting of my pseudo 3D scene of Raised Snakes. I will be doing 360° rotation of bunches of clay maiden snakes inside of this Light Box.
Last time when I did it, the scene was purely lighten and as result all images had too much and too strong shadows + I couldn't get right depth of field and as result, more distant snakes comes up blurry.
Next time I'll tell here more detailed about this "pseudo 3D" technology wich I invented for some scenes of my film.
